The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting a thorough gap analysis and implementing changes for the security and compliance of our product. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of security policies and procedures, compliance with regulations and industry standards, and leading technical documentation efforts to ensure the protection of our data and infrastructure.

The expected hourly rate for this position will range from $55/hr - $90/hr. Actual compensation may vary from posted hourly rate depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough gap analysis for compliance/technical best practices, policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect our data and infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including HIPAA and GDPR
  • Prepare team for security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies
  • Lead best practices on technical efforts to secure our software and infrastructure, including vulnerability management, network security, and access control
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security and compliance requirements are met in product development and operations
  • Craft robust monitoring, incident response efforts, including investigation and remediation of security incidents

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security and compliance, preferably with a focus on healthcare and/or AI software
  • Experience with HIPAA and GDPR compliance requirements and regulations
  • Strong understanding of security and engineering best practices, including vulnerability management, network security, and access control
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment.
