UnitedHealthcare has announced the second class of its health care startup accelerator, which it runs with Techstars. The accelerator began on Monday, and runs into December.

Kintsugi uses voice biomarkers to measure and predict well-being, uniquely positioning them to help the strained mental healthcare system during the pandemic. Their Work Together Talent Grant will help support a first-of-its-kind study on video-based group and peer therapies for vulnerable populations, hospital workers, and others impacted by COVID-19.

Kintsugi was awarded an NSF grant to continue to advance a voice biomarker technology that can serve as fast behavioral health diagnostic, potentially superseding the current paper-based PHQ-9 and GAD-7 tests.
